Hello friends, family and colleagues!

We are back at it…On April 29, 2017 our family, will participate in the Be The Match Walk/Run as “Team Ben”. Be The Match recruits and matches volunteer marrow donors with patients who have blood cancer, like leukemia or lymphoma. These patients need a marrow transplant, and like most of us, won’t have a donor match in their family. The cure for blood cancer is in the hands of ordinary people like us. Join me in transplanting hope.

By raising funds for the Be The Match Walk+Run, every step I take and every dollar I raise will make a difference.

Why am I telling you all this?

As many of you know my grandson, Ben Michael Teach, passed away on February 20, 2015 after a sixteen month battle with leukemia.  Ben had the normal strain that children are diagnosed with, ALL (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia), and also AML (Acute Myelogenous Leukemia) which normally strikes after the age of 40.  To have both at the age of three is extremely rare, so Ben’s chances of survival were very slim.  He battled valiently for sixteen months, mostly with smiles and jokes, rarely with tears or complaints.  Last April 11, he received a bone marrow transplant and was cancer free for about six months, an extra gift to all who knew him.  Ben’s transplant was facilitated by the Be The Match organization.

I am passionate about the mission of Be The Match and I’m hoping you’ll help me support their work. I’m inviting you to contribute to my efforts by clicking “Click here to visit my personal page” below and making a donation of whatever amount you can. Your donation will help patients who rely on Be The Match.

I’m grateful to have people like you in my life who care about making a difference. Please give today by clicking the link below to help patients find their match.

Just think…Your gift to support me could be someone’s CURE!

Thank you in advance for your support and helping us reach our goal!
